Nothing nice to say.submitted by Ryan S. - |Recommended: NoI would say, for the rent that you pay the apartments/townhouses should be upgraded. The rent goes up for no apparent reason. I get the feeling from living in these appartments that they (Management) don't really care about thier tenant only the rent.

Somewhat disappointedsubmitted by Bradley R. - |Recommended: NoCommunity is very nice. However, expect the interior/appliances to be old...including the carpet. My carpet was/is filthy!
Suckssubmitted by Ryan S. - |Recommended: NoSucks really bad. Rent is too high. Apartments are not worth what they charge. Community is not safe, or protected by security. Not military friendly. Worst employees and customer service I have ever encountered working at the leasing office.

My particular apartment is great...can't speak for the rest of them. Some tenants appear to be junky. Pool is always dirty.submitted by Amy H. - |Recommended: YesI would tell them that I am happy with my apartment, as well as the other tenants that live in my building. My family is lucky to have great neighbors who are not loud nor junky. I would go as far as to say my whole street is pretty good. No party-goers that I am aware of and a lot of tenants like to take care of their yards and perspective areas. I think the pool is a bit small for the size of the community, and it's ALWAYS dirty. There are always things floating in the water such as band-aids, hair weave, hair scrunchies, etc...Also there is a nasty film around the top of the pool siding that looks like slime and built up skin cells...ugh! I have an almost 3 year old, and my step daughter is staying for a couple of weeks, and whenever I take them to the pool it seems they get sick, or get the sniffles for a few days afterwards. I love that we have a pool, but sometimes I just feel icky when I get in the water. I have also noticed that people from outside the community use the pool and it's definitely way too small for that. I have noticed several times that individuals will walk into the neighborhood from up the street (Jean Chapel) and will hang around the play areas and/or dumpsters as if they're waiting to "meet" someone else. It just seems sketchy to me and I wish I had more info on this because it seems to happen quite often. It would also be a great idea for the future to have some sort of area where tenants (especially Military) can park their motor homes, trailers, boats, etc. We are not allowed to store these things on post unless we live on post, so by living outside of post we have to make do with the space that we inhabit. When you are constantly moving from post to post, and you have to continually upsize and downsize your belongings, it's difficult to pay a couple hundred dollars for a storage shed above and beyond paying rent. Lastly, I have had at least 3 occasions where the lawn company has string trimmed my plants/flowers. I have two areas on the side of my house and they cut both areas every time the come around to trim. Luckily the plants have grown back, but I would prefer for them not to be cut at all. I am by no means complaining...I have looked at houses out in the surrounding towns, and your housing is better than any stand alone home that I have seen (for the price). I am merely making suggestions to make things better. Well, the remarks about the pool are complaints because it really should be drained and completely scrubbed if possible.

Over priced, poorly kept, not military friendlysubmitted by Ryan S. - |Recommended: NoComparable to low end government subsidized housing. Very unprofessional and rude staff. I would recommend living on post, in Deridder, or Alexandria. Rent is outrageously high for the area, and the amenities available. After rent was raised, instead of the quality of life improving the management replaced the regulation size stop signs with newer smaller ones, which are much less visible at night, neglecting speed bumps, caution signs and not improving the quality of life what so ever. Wampold clearly uses this location to take advantage of the members of the United States Army.

I love how close the Apartments are to the post.submitted by Sydnee S. - |Recommended: YesIt close to post, with out living on post. Anytime there is an issue the ladies at the office are very helpful and friendly, and get maintanence over in a very timely manner.
Below standard, over priced.submitted by Ryan S. - |Recommended: NoVery over priced. Be prepared to have nothing working in your apartment when you move in. Lock up everything you own because this place is practically the ghetto and yet the owners don't find it necessary to hire security. Very unsafe if you have a family.

Nice place to livesubmitted by Carol H. - |Recommended: YesIt is a nice place to live. Close to Fort Polk and the new VA clinic. The landscaping needs to be improved. I have noticed that if your apartment is located close to the pffice then you will have the grass cut, edged and the clippings cleaned up. Since I live near the back of the complex, my grass is never edged and when the grass is cut, the clippings are blown all around. This includes the parking area, the sidewalk and the front porch areas. I have also looked at the edging that has been performed thus far this month and it is not up to par. Please have someone come out to review the work that is being done.

Great apartments for the area, average anywhere else.submitted by  - |Recommended: YesSycamore Point Apartments has a friendly and helpful office staff. They take care of matters in a timely fashion. The website, however, needs improvement. It would be helpful to include an option for tenants to set up recurring payments for the full amount of rent and for the website to reflect any changes in rent rates automatically. All of my other recurring payments for other companies update the new amount automatically, including satellite TV, cable Internet, security system, mortgage, and more. This apartment website is the only one that does not follow suit. Luckily the office staff was able to resolve this issue. Sycamore Point Apartments has an aesthetically pleasing exterior and green space. The complex is well-landscaped, and I especially like the crape myrtles. The saltwater pool is wonderful; it's nice not to smell like chlorine after a swim. The pavilion at poolside is a pretty impressive-looking structure. The pool would be even better if it were not crowded with many people that I suspect do not even live here, since they drive and all apartments are within a very short walk of the pool. Parking is ample at both the pool and in front of each apartment. It would be nice if Sycamore Point would extend the carport to cover two vehicles instead of just one, which would be especially useful during hailstorms. During my daily walks around the walking path, I do admire the beautiful exterior qualities of Sycamore Point, namely the landscaping and the pool. As for the interior, I like the updates of the ceramic tile in the kitchen, wood laminate in the dining area and living room, in addition to the new light fixtures. The cabinets remain outdated, with most of the shelves being composed of splinters. The noise level is less than other apartments since no one lives above me. Also, the 2-bedroom flat layout is convenient. Although the apartments are outdated (which is to be expected for the area), at least they are spacious and clean. Lastly, the price of apartments is high, especially given the surrounding area. For $775 a month, one could rent a new or updated spacious apartment, even in a gated community, in a large city with a lot to offer. There are absolutely no attractions in this area to warrant such a high price. Given the limited choices for apartments in Leesville, though, Sycamore Point Apartments was my best option. It does have more of a community feel compared to other apartments, and its location is convenient to Fort Polk. Overall, I am rather pleased with my apartment at Sycamore Point.
