|Recommended: YesI love how close the Apartments are to the post. — It close to post, with out living on post. Anytime there is an issue the ladies at the office are very helpful and friendly, and get maintanence over in a very timely manner.
|Recommended: NoBelow standard, over priced. — Very over priced. Be prepared to have nothing working in your apartment when you move in. Lock up everything you own because this place is practically the ghetto and yet the owners don't find it necessary to hire security. Very unsafe if you have a family.

|Recommended: YesNice place to live — It is a nice place to live. Close to Fort Polk and the new VA clinic. The landscaping needs to be improved. I have noticed that if your apartment is located close to the pffice then you will have the grass cut, edged and the clippings cleaned up. Since I live near the back of the complex, my grass is never edged and when the grass is cut, the clippings are blown all around. This includes the parking area, the sidewalk and the front porch areas. I have also looked at the edging that has been performed thus far this month and it is not up to par. Please have someone come out to review the work that is being done.

|Recommended: YesGreat apartments for the area, average anywhere else. — Sycamore Point Apartments has a friendly and helpful office staff. They take care of matters in a timely fashion. The website, however, needs improvement. It would be helpful to include an option for tenants to set up recurring payments for the full amount of rent and for the website to reflect any changes in rent rates automatically. All of my other recurring payments for other companies update the new amount automatically, including satellite TV, cable Internet, security system, mortgage, and more. This apartment website is the only one that does not follow suit. Luckily the office staff was able to resolve this issue.
Sycamore Point Apartments has an aesthetically pleasing exterior and green space. The complex is well-landscaped, and I especially like the crape myrtles. The saltwater pool is wonderful; it's nice not to smell like chlorine after a swim. The pavilion at poolside is a pretty impressive-looking structure. The pool would be even better if it were not crowded with many people that I suspect do not even live here, since they drive and all apartments are within a very short walk of the pool. Parking is ample at both the pool and in front of each apartment. It would be nice if Sycamore Point would extend the carport to cover two vehicles instead of just one, which would be especially useful during hailstorms. During my daily walks around the walking path, I do admire the beautiful exterior qualities of Sycamore Point, namely the landscaping and the pool.
As for the interior, I like the updates of the ceramic tile in the kitchen, wood laminate in the dining area and living room, in addition to the new light fixtures. The cabinets remain outdated, with most of the shelves being composed of splinters. The noise level is less than other apartments since no one lives above me. Also, the 2-bedroom flat layout is convenient. Although the apartments are outdated (which is to be expected for the area), at least they are spacious and clean.
Lastly, the price of apartments is high, especially given the surrounding area. For $775 a month, one could rent a new or updated spacious apartment, even in a gated community, in a large city with a lot to offer. There are absolutely no attractions in this area to warrant such a high price. Given the limited choices for apartments in Leesville, though, Sycamore Point Apartments was my best option. It does have more of a community feel compared to other apartments, and its location is convenient to Fort Polk. Overall, I am rather pleased with my apartment at Sycamore Point.

|Recommended: YesI think Sycamore Point Apartments are very nice and I and my family enjoy living there — I have given out information to friends who were looking for a good, safe place to live. I told them all the bonuses you offer and that there is a lot to offer and the people in the front office are very nice and helpful. Anytime we need help with maintenance you fix the problem in a very timely manner. We are very happy living at Sycamore Point.

|Recommended: NoReview — It seems that there is ample space to expand the parking area by two cars on either side of most units. Units should come complete with good, WORKING appliances to include hvac units, dishwashers, and refrigerators. Rent is too high for this area. The same quality of housing is available in deridder for much cheaper.
